Meet Results

The UC Irvine men's and women's swimming & diving teams swept the Cal State Northridge Matadors Friday afternoon at Anteater Aquatics Complex in their final dual meet of the season. The Anteater women won 182-97 and the men won 164.5-109.5.

The Anteater women had the top times in 12 of the 14 individual events. Kim Miller, Chelsea Nagata and Franny Brittle each won two events for UCI. Miller won the 100 breast (1:06.45) and the 200 breast (2:23.19). Nagata won the 100 free (52.64) and the 100 fly with the 17th fastest time in the country (54.46) for a NCAA "B" cut time. Brittle won the one-meter (257.55) and the three-meter (274.13) diving titles.

On the men's side, sophomore Randall Tom broke his own UCI record in the 100 fly with a time of 48.78. Tom also won the 100 back with a time of 50.67. Eric Reilly had wins in three events the 200 free (1:42.45), 50 free (21.04) and 100 free (46.27). Brian Buchanan, Eddie Erazo and Sean Snowden each won a pair of events for UCI.

The Anteaters will next compete at the Big West Conference Championships begining Wednesday, Feb. 15th and going through Saturday, Feb. 18th at Belmont Plaza in Long Beach.
