.: Navy Garners Two Weekly Awards From Patriot League

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. , February 15th, 2006

The Patriot League announced its final weekly swimming and diving awards of the season Tuesday, with Navy garnering both awards on the men's side. Kevin Teague received his seventh weekly diving award of the season, while Brooks Cameron was selected as the league's swimmer of the week for the first time this year.

Teague posted a combined 3-1 record on the two boards during Saturday's double-dual meet against Princeton and Columbia, winning the one meter with a score of 302.45 and placing second overall on the three meter with a score of 347.74. The three victories on the day raises his overall record to 28-2 on the season and to 89-5 in his career.

Cameron posted a pair of career-best times in winning three events during Saturday's Navy Invitational in Lejeune Hall. He posted times of 52.27 to win the 100 backstroke by four-tenths of a second, 47.78 in winning the 100 freestyle by one-half of a second and 1:44.21 in winning the the 200 freestyle by four-tenths of a second. His times in both 100-yard events were career-best marks for him.
