Meet Results

The University of Idaho women’s swim team fell to the undefeated University of Nevada-Reno Wolf Pack 113-84 Friday, dropping the Vandals season record to 8-5.

“When you are developing a program you are going to take your lumps and we certainly took them tonight,” Head coach Tom Jager said. “They out swam us and they are a good team.  We are going to have to beat them at some time if we want to win the WAC.”

While the Vandals struggled as a whole, Paige Lee turned in another strong showing, placing second in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:03.73 and fifth in the 50 butterfly with a time of 28.57.

Kacie Hogan also had a strong performance, finishing the 50 backstroke with a time of 28.38, earning her a second place finish.

“The meet came at a good time,” Jager said. “The kids are going to go home at Christmas and realize they still have some work to do in order to be prepared for the WAC Championships.”

The Vandals return to action Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m., looking to hand the Wolf Pack its first loss of the season.
