.: Drexel Suspends Men's Swim Season
Philadelphia, PA , December 22nd, 2006
Drexel Athletics announced today that its men’s swimming team will not participate in its remaining four meets of the current season. Dr. Eric Zillmer, Director of Athletics, made the announcement.
“I was made aware of athletic department violations that led to this decision,” Zillmer said. “I feel that this decision was in the best interest of our sports programs.”
The decision does not affect the women's team directly. The Lady Dragons will complete their schedule for the season including duals against Binghampton, Georgetown, and Towson and the Colonial Athletic Association Championships.
