The Westminster men finished with 364 points to top Bloomsburg (340), Allegheny (320), John Carroll (308), Edinboro (278) and Penn State-Altoona (106). The Lady Titans posted 346 points to defeat Edinboro (334), Allegheny (322), Grove City (318), John Carroll (288), and Penn State-Altoona (186).
The Titan men posted wins in five of the 10 relay events: the 300 backstroke (2:48.06), the 200 breaststroke (3:13.43), the 400 medley (3:49.05), the 1500 freestyle (15:44.22) and the 400 individual medley (3:57.56). Junior Pat Smith (South Park/South Park H.S.) saw on three of the winning relay teams (300 back, 400 medley, 1500 free), while three Titans were double winners: senior Buck Thornton (Gibsonia/Deer Lakes H.S.) in the 300 back and 400 IM; junior Adam Rady (Seville, OH/Medina H.S.) in the 200 breast and 400 IM; and freshman Chris Lehberger (New Wilmington/Wilmington Area H.S.) in the 200 breast and 400 medley.
The Lady Titans were paced by freshman Megan Mier (Akron, OH/Revere H.S.) (photo attached), who swam on both of the team's winning relays: the 300 backstroke (3:13.20) and the 400 individual medley (4:25.77). The WC women also placed second in six of the other eight relays.
Westminster swimming returns to action next Saturday (Nov. 5) as the Titans and Lady Titans each open their dual meet schedule at NCAA Division II Ashland University at 1 p.m.
