.: Rosenbluth, Clark, Penwell and Duffy Nab MAAC Swimming, Diving Weekly Accolades

EDISON, NJ , November 8th, 2005

Rider University’s Josh Rosenbluth and Courtney Clark have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively. Fairfield University’s Rob Penwell has been named the MAAC Men’s Diver of the Week, while Marist College’s Meghan Duffy has been named the MAAC Women’s Diver of the Week.

Rosenbluth, a freshman at Rider, won two individual events to help lead the Broncs to a 127-115 win over Marist College, the school’s first win over Red Foxes since 1993. He won the 200 individual medley (1:55.40) and the 200 backstroke (1:53.35), and also swam on the winning 400-yard medley relay team that set a Coppola Pool record with a time of 3:29.43.

Clark, a junior at Rider, won three individual events in Rider’s meet with Marist. She took first place in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 10:46.13, and then swam the next event, the 200 freestyle, in a winning time of 1:57.37. She finished the meet by winning the 500 freestyle in a time of 5:15.92.

Penwell, a senior at Fairfield, won the one-meter dive with a score of 202.30 in a dual meet with Georgetown University and Loyola College. He finished in second place in the three-meter event with a score of 215.95

Duffy, a senior at Marist, won the three-meter event at Rider with a total score of 244.95. She then went on to finish second in the one-meter, tallying a score of 231.00.
