Junior Ryan Reeser (Garnet Valley H.S./Glen Mills, Pa.) won three individual events as Loyola College (3-2, 1-0) earned a pair of victories over Georgetown University (1-3) and Fairfield University (1-2, 1-1) in a men's swimming and diving double dual meet at the Mangione Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon.

The Greyhounds, who are now 3-0 at home this season, defeated the Stags by 155-81 while handing the Hoyas a 124-117 setback.

"This was a total team effort for us today," Coach Brian Loeffler said. "We are starting to really see what we can do and this was a sign of things to come for us. I was very happy with the results we produced today."

Reeser, who was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday afternoon, earned a victory in the 200-free by touching the wall with a time of 1:46.08. In addition, he won the 100-fly with a mark of :52.66 before earning first place in the 500-free with a time of 4:50.76. He has now won five straight individual events over the last two meets.

Freshman Ernest Verrico (Fairfield Prep/Stamford, Conn.) also earned a win in the 100-breast with a time of 1:01.85 while finishing in third place with a time of 2:02.42 in the 200-individual medley and in fourth place in the 100-free (:49.71).

Rob Penwill led the Stags in the meet by earning first place in the one-meter diving event with a score of 202.30 points and taking second place behind Georgetown's Santini Reali in the three-meter event. Reali finished in second place for the Hoyas in the one-meter event.

Junior Megan Sterback (Sayville H.S./Sayville, N.Y.) finished in first place in the one-meter diving event to lead the Greyhound women's team (2-3) to a split in the double dual meet. Loyola defeated Fairfield by a 157-86 margin while losing to Georgetown by a 135-108 score.

In addition to her win on the one-meter board, Sterback also finished in second place in the three-meter diving event with a score of 227.35 points while Georgetown's Kelcey Moore took first place with 241.90 points.

Senior Chelsea Brace (Notre Dame Academy/Hanover, Mass.) earned first place in the 100-back with a mark of 1:01.72 while freshman Victoria Kamauff (St. Paul's School/Baltimore, Md.) won the 500-free event with a time of 5:21.08. Kamauff also helped the Greyhounds take first place in the 400-free relay.

Caitlin Colling won a pair of events to lead the Hoyas to the pair of victories against the Greyhounds and the Stags. She earned first place in the 200-free with a time of 1:59.22 while taking the 100-free by finishing in :54.84.

The Greyhounds return to action on Friday night when they host the annual Thomas Murphy Invitational at the Mangione Aquatic Center. The two-day meet will feature teams from Johns Hopkins University, Howard University and the Virginia Military Institute. The meet begins on Friday evening at 5:00 p.m. and will continue with a second session at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.
