.: Old Dominion Men Lead CAA Quad

Meet Results

The Old Dominion men's swimming team jumped out to decisive leads after the first day of the CAA quad meet with Delaware, Northeastern, and William & Mary. The men's side leads Delaware 111-56 and is ahead of the Tribe 108-59. Women's swimming is trailing all three of their opponents. Northeastern is leading 94-73, Delaware is up 102-65, and William & Mary is out in front 121-46.

Junior Michael DeNise (Midlothian, VA) continues to rack up victories in the individual distance freestyle events this season, picking up a win in the 1650 free (16:29.02). He also won the 400 IM event (4:13.51) Sophomore Patrik Balint (Budapest, Hungary) also helped the men's cause by taking the 200 freestyle event (1:44.18). For the women, sophomore Diana Hurst (Richmond, VA) took another victory for the Monarchs in the distance event, winning the 1650 freestyle (17:25.59).

ODU swimming and diving returns to action on Saturday for day 2 of the quad meet at the J.C. "Scrap" Chandler pool. Diving begins at 9 a.m.,followed by swimming at 1 p.m.
