.: Bentley Beats UMass-Dartmouth

NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. , November 30th, 2005

Sophomore Arden Brust, sophomore Allison Colarusso and freshman Kristen Thuerk were triple winners for Bentley College as the Falcons beat UMass-Dartmouth 152-91 in women's swimming action Wednesday night. The Falcon men also left dual action with a "W" to add to their record. Bentley men won 11 of the 13 events as and to win the meet 154-83.

Bentley women 3-1) won nine of the 13 events in the meet, including nine of the 11 swimming events on the evening. Brust, Colarusso and Thuerk teamed with senior Brianne Tulley to start the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay. Thuerk followed with individual wins in the 1000 free (11:38.83) and the 200 fly (2:21.13). Brust posted an individual win in the 500 free (5:24.93) and Colarusso won the 50 free in a time of 26.98, while the duo were also part of the winning 200 free relay team.

The other Bentley individual winners were junior Amanda Albertian with wins in the 200 free (2:07.98) and the 200 back (2:20.49) and Tulley in the 200 breast (2:38.58).

For the men, sophomores Ned Krawiecki and Bryan Stinchfield posted a pair of individual wins as well as being part of winning relay teams. Krawiecki won in the 200 medley relay, the 100 IM (58.25) and 200 breast (2:20.25), while Stinchfield won in the 200 free (1:53.96), 500 free (5:14.76) and the 200 free relay (1:34.33).

The other triple winners senior James Bunn and junior Chris Booth both were members of each winning relay teams, while also winning an individual event. Bunn earned his individual win in the 50 free (23.39), while Booth won the 100 free (51.73). Bentley sophomore diver Kyle Reese also had a good night, posting wins at both the 1 meter (239.70) and 3 meter (219.20) diving events.
