.: Rider, Marist, O'Nalty, Duffy Earn MAAC Weekly Honors

EDISON, NJ , November 23rd, 2005

Rider University’s Brandon Modrov and Priscilla Modrov have been named the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Swimmers of the Week, respectively. Marist College’s Devon O’Nalty and Meghan Duffy earned the MAAC Men’s and Women’s Divers of the Week award, respectively.

Brandon Modrov, a junior at Rider, won two individual events in a dual meet with the University of Delaware and La Salle University. He finished first in the 1000-yard freestyle in a time of 9:53.28, and the 200-yard breaststroke in a time of 2:09.89.

Priscilla Modrov, a freshman at Rider, posted wins in three individual events in a dual meet with the University of Delaware and La Salle University. She won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:54.88, and touched the wall first in the 200-yard backstroke in a time of 2:08.65. She finished the night with a first-place victory in the 200-yard individual medley (11:55.93).

O’Nalty, a sophomore at Marist, swept the diving events in the Red Foxes’ 135-92 win over Iona. He posted a score of 248.70 off the one-meter board, and then claimed the top spot in the three-meter event with a score of 285.45.

Duffy, a senior at Marist, was again a winner in both diving events in Marist’s 140.50-91.50 win over Iona. She posted a score of 267.35 to win the one-meter event and then recorded a winning score of 266.10 off the three-meter board.
