Junior David McManic paced the Ephs to victory by winning three events. McManic won the 100 backstroke in 55.10 seconds, the 200 back in 1:59.18 and the 200 IM in 2:00.86. Junior Stephen Spinelli was a double-winner for Williams, taking the 1,000 free in 10:00.11 and the 500 free in 4:49.85.
A pair of first-years also were impressive for the Ephs in victory. Norman Scott won the 200 butterfly in 1:57.74 and the 100 fly in 51.20 seconds. Tyler Bonewell was victorious in the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.85 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:13.84.
"It was a nice result, especially without our full squad," Williams head coach Steve Kuster said. "The guys did a great job, there were some people really laying it on the line during some final laps. It was a good start, but we still have a lot of things to work on."
Suryoutomo took the 100 and 200-yard backstroke events and also contributed the anchor leg of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay along with Elizabeth Byron, Caroline Byron, and Megan Hurd.
The Byron sisters also earned first and second place in the 50 and 100-yard freestyle with Elizabeth earning the win in both events.
Kelly Leahey picked up a win in the 200-yard freestlye, while Kim Garcia earned a convincing win in the 1000-yard freestyle. Torey Thelin and Carolyn Bowman finished one and two respectively in the 200-yard butterfly.
Maeve Brennan earned first place points for the women in the one-meter diving event, and Jennifer Rhines took first on the three-meter board.
