Marist’s Jackie Fountaine has been named the MAAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week, while Loyola’s Megan Sterback has been named the MAAC Women’s Diver of the Week.
Reeser, a junior at Loyola, won a pair of individual events and was part of the first-place 200-yard medley relay team that helped led the Greyhounds to a 128-77 win over Providence College. He earned first place in the 200 freestyle (1:47.66) and in the 100 butterfly (52.93).
Rienzo, a sophomore at Marist, set three personal bests in Marist’s 140-101 win over Fordham. He won the 1000 freestyle in a time of 9:57.19. Rienzo also touched the wall first in the 500 free (4:49.44). He finished the night by swimming a leg of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team.
Fountaine, a senior at Marist, took the top spot in two individual events in Marist’s 128-113 win over Fordham. She won the 50 freestyle (24.96) and the 200 breaststroke (2:23.22). Fountaine also set a season best for her in her breaststroke leg (1:05.20) of the first-place 400-yard medley relay team (3:57.61).
Sterback, a junior at Loyola, took both diving events to help the Greyhounds to a 133.50-108.50 win over Providence. She recorded 226.50 points in the three-meter event, and registered 225.08 points in the one-meter event.
