Two of the most impressive efforts of finals came from Lofstedt and senior Kristen Bradley. Lofstedt improved her own fourth-fastest time in school history in the 100-yard butterfly, while Bradley raced to a B-cut time of 4:19.50 in the 400-yard IM.
"We had a great comprehensive effort this evening," Indiana head coach Ray Looze said. "We really did well from a mental approach tonight. We were a bit off this morning, but we had our best session tonight. We recorded a lot of season bests. I think we are on the verge of some breakthroughs with this team. I like this team. They are a good group. They are tight-knit with the right mindset. They also are very coachable."
"It was a much better night tonight," Indiana head coach Ray Looze said. "The 1:29.98 in the 200 medley was our first under 1:30 this season and we did it without having our best guys out there. We really showed our depth and versatility tonight. Ben Hesen continues to shine, while Todd Patrick and Nick Walkotten had some breakthrough performances. Kevin Swander also had a really nice swim. Overall, our younger guys did what they had to do to score more points. Tomorrow is going to be a make or break day for how this meet turns out. Will we come out swinging, or just try to get through it?"
