Mitchell won all three of his individual events in Minnesota's 171-120 rout of Georgia Tech. Mitchell cruised to an easy win in the 200 IM (1:52.30) winning by almost three seconds. Mitchell is unbeaten in the event this season (5 events). Mitchell also won the 200 Fly (1:52.70) and the 200 Back (1:49.87).
Jeri Moss, Auburn University
Riverside, California
In a double dual-against Virginia and Penn State, Moss won and posted Auburn's first NCAA 'A' cut of the season in the 200 Back (1:57.75). Moss went on to finish second in the 100 Back (55.49, 'B' qualifying time) and anchored the winning 200 Free Relay (1:33.53) and swam the backstroke leg of the second-place 200 and 400 Medley Relays.
Matej Tomas, Fairmont State
Zagreb, Croatia
Tomas led the unbeaten Fighting Falcons to a 114-80 victory over Frostburg State. He led off victorious medley and free relays and provided an individual win in the 100 Fly. His 100 backstroke lead-off (51.48, ‘B’ qualifying time) was enough to set a new pool record as was his NCAA ‘A’ cut of 50.28 in the butterfly.
Brooke Heath, Edinboro University
Woodstock, Ontario
Heath swam a NCAA ‘A’ qualifying time in the 200 Breast (2:21.68). Heath also swam a NCAA ‘B’ qualifying time in the 200 IM (2:11.07), placed first in the 200 Fly (2:14.54), and was on the winning 200 Medley Relay (1:53.69). Edinboro swept Kutztown 64-58 and Mansfield 91-31.
Bobby Brown, Coast Guard
Ballston Lake, New York
Brown won three events individually in a 164-134 win against MIT. Brown won the 200 Free in an NCAA ‘B’ qualifying time (1:43.43), the 100 Free (46.84), and the 500 Free (4:47.02). He also delivered a come-from-behind win in the 400 Free Relay with a split of 46.15.
Becky Weima, Calvin College
Caledonia, Michigan
Weima helped Calvin to a pair of wins over Kalamazoo (191-46) and Case Western (181-60) with a two individual wins and helping Calvin to a second place on 400 Free Relay. Weima won the 100 free (52.66) and 200 Free (1:53.33, NCAA ‘A’). Weima’s split in the 400 free relay (51.84) was the fastest in the meet by 0.70 seconds.
