.: Bentley Sweeps Regis & Western New England

Senior Stephanie Lantz (Saratoga Springs, N.Y./Saratoga Springs HS) and sophomore Kaitlin Anelauskas (Medfield/Medfield HS) were triple winners and sophomore Katrina Kaufman (Belmont/Belmont HS) set a school record in diving as Bentley College swept a double dual meet from Regis College and Western New England College Wednesday night at the Dana Center pool.

Bentley, now 6-1 on the season, more than doubled Regis, 80-39, and topped WNEC by a count of 74-47. Western New England salvaged a split by besting Regis by 11, 64-53.

Lantz easily captured the 200 yard freestyle (2:10.64) and the 50 butterfly (29.14) before swimming leadoff on the Falcons' winning 200 free relay team (1:54.04). In the latter, she teamed with Anelauskas and freshmen Christine Alvarez (Redding, Conn./Joel Barlow HS) and Jenna Forstrom (Beaverton, Ore./Westview HS).

Anelauskas also captured the 500 freestyle by nearly 10 seconds with a time of 5:47.64, and was part of Bentley's winning 200 medley relay team, which opened the meet with a clocking of 2:06.69. Joining her were a trio of classmates, Amanda Albertian (Hopkinton/Hopkinton HS), Mary Kate O'Leary (South Boston/Notre Dame HS) and Jasmine Konkin (East Providence, R.I./East Providence HS).

Konkin also won the 100 free in 1:02.37, and Albertian had a winning effort in the 100 individual medley (1:08.45).

Kaufman swept the diving events, both one-meter, with her combined score of 432.82 a school record for 10 dives.

Bentley's other winners in the meet were freshman Arden Brust (Newark, N.Y./Newark HS) in the 1000 free (11:34.72) and sophomore Lorraine Tracy (Lewiston, N.Y./Nardin Academy) in the 50 back (32.78).

Bentley has a pair of meets on the road this weekend, swimming at St. Michael's on Saturday and at Saint Rose on Sunday.
