.: Roycik, White Collect ACC Weekly Awards

Roycik posted a trio of top-two finishes for the No. 16 Seminoles, who dropped a close decision to No. 7 Florida on Nov. 22, 126-115, for their first loss of the season. Roycik, a senior from Winter Park, Fla., took medalist honors in the 100 free, swimming to a 44.84 finish.
Roycik also helped Florida State to a pair of solid relay finishes, including a win in the 200 free relay. Roycik swam the anchor leg of the relay, which Roycik helped turn in an NCAA provisional qualifying time of 1:20.40. Roycik also swam the third leg of the 200 medley relay, which took second in a time of 1:30.20.
White turned in a pair of NCAA automatic qualifying marks against a brutal slate of competition at the UGA Invitational over the weekend. In addition to taking on meet host and top-ranked Georgia, White and No. 20 Virginia faced No. 5 California and No. 7 UCLA at the three-day event. The Cavaliers came in fourth at the eight-team meet.
White claimed victory in the 100 back in just 53.63, and touching ahead of Georgia All-American Mary DeScenza. White's time was good for the top 100 back mark in the ACC this season and was an NCAA automatic qualifying time.
The senior from Philadelphia, Pa., also found success in the 200 back, touching in 1:57.27 to take second place and again post an NCAA automatic qualifying time.
Florida State (6-1, 4-0 ACC) will next face No. 14 Penn State in Naples, Fla., on Jan. 6. The Cavaliers (2-3, 2-0 ACC) return to action at a pair of invitationals, sending team members to the Georgia Diving Invitational from Jan. 6-8 and competing at Miami's Matt Gribble Invitational on Jan. 7.
