.: Linn, Thomas, Teague Nab Weekly Patriot League Awards

Navy senior swimmer Mike Linn, junior swimmer Aubra Thomas, junior diver Kevin Teague and Army senior Chelsea Haviland, were honored as the Patriot League swimming and diving athletes of the week for the week of Nov. 29 - Dec 4.

Linn won two individual events and helped a relay team to another in Navy's 179-64 victory over rival Army. He won the 50-meter freestyle with a time of 22.36. He also went on to win the 100-meter freestyle (49.48). He then helped the 400-meter freestyle relay team to a first-place finish by swimming a 49.05 fourth leg.

Thomas was honored for winning three individual events and helping a relay team to another in Navy's 188.5-111.5 victory over rival Army. She won the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke with times of 1:11.87 and 2:38.86 respectively. She also won the 200-meter IM with a time of 2:22.94. She then went on to help the 200-meter medley team to a first-place finish (1:58.22)

Teague was named male diver of the week after his performance in Navy's win over rival Army. He won the one-meter event scoring 361.05 points and defeating the nearest competitor by 70 points. He then won the three-meter event by 57 points scoring a total of 377.03.

Haviland was named female diver of the week for her performance against rival Navy. She swept the diving events winning the one-meter (287.48), and three-meter event (319.20).

Also this week Army's Mentele qualified for the 2008 Olympic Trials in the 200-meter breaststroke with a preliminary time of 2:20.69 at the 2005 U.S. Open held at Auburn, Ala.
