.: Wagner Hires Raffile

Raffile is now the second Head Coach for Seahawks Swimming program, which is in its eighth season.
During the 2004-05 season, Raffile worked with the Univ. of Georgia swimming staff as a Graduate Assistant Coach where he helped the Bulldogs to a NCAA Women’s Swimming and Diving Championship. He also assisted the Men’s Team that posted a tenth place finish at the NCAA’s. When he wasn’t on the pool deck, he was completing his Master of Arts coursework in the Kinesiology program.
While at the UGA, Raffile also was an Assistant swim coach for the Athens Bulldog Swim Club. During 2003, Raffile served as an Assistant swimming coach at the Germantown Academy Aquatics Club for one year, and he was an Assistant swimming coach and lifeguard supervisor at West Chester University in Pennsylvania during that time.
Raffile started his coaching career at Southern Connecticut St. in 2002 as a volunteer swim coach and Head Age Group Coach for the Sonoco Swim Club.
Raffile earned a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science (human performance) from Southern Connecticut State in May 2003 where during his tenure with the Fighting Owls, the Newport, RI native was a six-time NCAA All-American while earning a spot on the Dean’List.
A student member of the American College of Sports Medicine, Raffile is a Division II and USS Age Group member of the American Swim Coaches Association and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength & Conditiong Association (NSCA).
