Cal completely dominated the University of British Columbia Saturday evening, beating the Thunderbirds 128-17. As in Friday's win over Washington, the 2-0 Golden Bears spread the glory with seven different event winners. Bears finished first in ever individual event and all three relay races.

Cal was led by double-event winners Helen Silver and Erin Reilly. Reilly, a sophomore, won the 400-meter freestyle in 4:19.43 and the 200-meter freestyle in 2:04.48. Silver, a junior, won the 100-meter backstroke with a 1:03.04 mark and the 200-meter backstroke at 2:15.11.

The team's newcomers produced immediately with sophomore transfer Sherry Tsai winning the 200-meter IM (2:19.12) and freshmen Emily Silver winning the 50-meter freestyle (26.70) and Genevieve Patterson the 100-meter breaststroke (1:11.51).

Cal's other event winners were senior Amy Ng in the 400-meter IM (4:52.92) and sophomore Annie Babicz in the 100-meter butterfly (1:04.00). Silver, Patterson, Babicz and senior Lauren Medina took the 400-meter medley relay in 4:17.38. Reilly, junior Ashley Chandler, senior Keiko Amano and Medina seized the 400-meter freestyle relay in 3:57.15. Medina, Amano, senior Emma Palsson and Emily Silver claimed the 200-freestyle relay in 1:48.21.

The Bears return to action Oct. 22 hosting Florida State at Spieker Aquatics Complex in the Berkeley home opener.
