Meet Results

The Indiana men defeated Evansville 160-87, while the women downed Evansville, 169-85. The Hoosier men won 11 of 14 events, and the women swept all 14 events.

A quartet of Indiana swimmers (junior Kristen Bradley, junior Sarah Bugden, sophomore Annica Lofstedt and sophomore Leila Vaziri) claimed three event titles apiece.

On the men's side, Indiana freshmen Ben Hesen and Nick Walkotten paced IU with two event crowns each.

Head Coach Dorosey Tierney said, "We are coming along and are in better shaped right now." "We are learning how to train like a championship team every day and that is good to see. We are also racing better when we are tired. Annica (Lofstedt) did a great job of finishing her races, while Lauren Torpey is getting back into form. She stayed disciplined over the summer and is moving forward through some difficult times."

Head Men's coach Ray Looze said, "We were just trying to take a look at some off events for us this meet." "We had a chance to demonstrate some team spirit in front of our parents. Evansville was a good opponent and I am thankful that they came up to race us."
