The TCU swimming and diving team kicked off the 2004-05 season in style on Wednesday afternoon when they won dual meets over Centenary and McMurry in front of a crowd of 400 people at the University Recreation Center.

The H2O Frogs finished in first place in every event on the day and finished one-two in 12 events. The women's team defeated Centenary 44-30 and McMurry 52-41, while the men beat Centenary 46.5-37.5 and McMurry 50-41.

On the women's side, freshmen Keilah Walker, Maribeth Pottenger, Michelle Pottenger, Pam Campbell and Emily Duerringer all won their first individual event for the Frogs.

Walker came in first in the 200-free (1:57.30) and nabbed a pair of runner-up finishes in the 200-IM (2:18.52) and 100-free (55.23). Maribeth Pottenger opened the meet with a victory as a member of the 200-medley relay (1:56.75) and later won the 100-breast (1:08.88), while her sister, Michelle was victorious in the 100-fly (1:02.09). Meanwhile, diver Pam Campbell won the 1-meter with 222.7 points and Duerringer was first in the 100-free (54.24) and was a member of the winning 200-free relay (1:43.72).

For the men, junior Diego Palacios won a pair of individual events for the Frogs and freshmen Adam Montgomery, Kyle Edens and Jonathon Berrettini all won the first races of their careers. Palacios was victorious in the 100-free (48.24) and 200-free (1:47.17), while Montgomery won the 200-IM (2:02.44), Edens the 500-free (4:57.71) and Berrettini the 100-back (53.27).

The H2O Frogs will host an intra-squad meet on Oct. 15 at the University Recreation Center.
