.: The Polls Are In and it's ULM and WKU ?

On election day, the winners are - the University of Louisiana-Monroe men and Western Kentucky women. Both teams sit atop the first CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Major Division I Power Rankings. Rankings are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams. Rankings for NCAA Division II and III will be released later this week. Several teams, including last year's champions from Miami-Ohio have not yet reported times and teams will be added to the rankings as entries are received.

Mid-Major institutions are those Division I conferences (and independents) that do not benefit from large television contracts or revenue from football or basketball. Institutions from the following conferences are eligible for the Mid-Major designation: America East, Big Sky, Big South, Big West, Colonial, EISL, Metro Atlantic, Mid-America, Mid-Continent, Midwest, Mid-eastern, Missouri Valley, Mountain West, Northeast, Ohio Valley, Patriot, Southern, Southland, Sun Belt, Trans America and West Coast.
