The Sun Belt Conference will be adding its 19th championship sport in the 2004-05 season - men's swimming and diving. Member teams competing in the sport will be the University of Denver, Florida Atlantic University, Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisiana at Monroe (affiliate). The FAU men's and women's swimming & diving teams will be the first squads to make the move to the Sun Belt, with football to follow in 2005-06 and the remaining sports by 2006-07.
