Swimming the 50 freestyle for the first time in college, Thomas won the event in 22.97, topping a one-two-three finish in that event for Washington. Thomas swam a WC season-best time of 55.63 to win the 100 butterfly and finished first in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.72. Becker's second-place finish in the 50 freestyle made him one of six Shoremen to finish second in one individual event. Sophomore Lars Kalp (Everett, PA/Mercersburg Academy) was second in the 200 freestyle (2:00.36), sophomore Colin Soper (Towson, MD/Loyola Blakefield) finished second in the 200 backstroke (2:09.84), and junior Shane Walsh (Mitchellville, MD/Archbishop Spalding) took second in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.34). Swimming as an exhibition, Kalp, senior Conor Caporale (Laguna Niguel, CA/Dana Hills), Campbell, and Becker swam a meet-best 1:36.58 in the 200 freestyle relay.
